How do I scan a document?
Tap the camera button on the home screen. Tap "Start Scanning" — the system scanner will open. Point your camera at a document, it will be detected and captured automatically. You can scan multiple pages in one session.
How do I add more pages to a scan?
After scanning, tap "Add Pages" to open the scanner again. New pages will be added to the current session. When done, tap "Save".
How do I save a document as PDF?
Open a document from the home screen and tap "Save as PDF". The PDF will be generated and you can share it via AirDrop, email, or any other app using the "Shares" button.
How do I rename a document?
Open the document and tap on its name at the top of the screen. It will become editable — type the new name and confirm.
How do I delete a document?
Swipe left on a document in the list and tap Delete. To delete multiple documents at once, tap the select icon (✓) in the top right corner, select the documents you want to remove, then tap Delete.
Are my documents backed up to the cloud?
No. All documents are stored locally on your device only. Your documents are private and never leave your device unless you share them yourself. If you delete the app, your documents will be deleted — we recommend exporting important documents as PDFs before uninstalling.
Why does the scanner not open?
Make sure Clearcan has camera permission. Go to Settings → Apps → Clearcan → Camera and make sure it is enabled.
How much storage do my documents use?
You can check the total storage used by all your documents in Settings → Documents Storage inside the app.
